EA Sports is banking on the up-and-coming exergaming industry, although it means building a whole new following of female non-gamers. Will it pay off? Time will tell. But if the new EA Sports Active is any indication, they’re off to a pretty good start.
When did birthday parties become such a costly proposition? When we were younger, it was just a group of friends hanging out and eating cake. Now it seems you need a second mortgage to pay for the latest and greatest play space affair!
Do you believe that Valentine’s Day is a made-up holiday designed to steal your money and stress your relationships? Do you refuse to celebrate each year? Valentine’s Day doesn’t have to be all about flowers and gifts and restaurant reservations. Reclaim the day as a day of love without all of the “stuff.” It’s a nice reminder to hug the people you love and treat them with some extra special care.
Bug received a harmonica as a party favor last week. It’s a real harmonica and could have been my worst nightmare, except that I love that my son loves music. Music is important to me and has been a constant part of both of my kids’ lives since the earliest days of my pregnancies. So, when Bug pulled the harmonica out of the box and immediately started playing a bluesy tune, I was delighted. We can all use some blues in our lives, you know?
