Today is International Women’s Day. I didn’t realize it until it was almost over, but I still have time to sneak in a shout-out to other moms:
- who advocate for their children’s needs
- who return to work and show their kids that women can and should play a variety of roles in society
- who stay home and put their own careers on hold to focus on their families
- who work long hours to provide for their families
- who help their little girls aspire to be more than princesses
- who stand up for their own rights and show their little girls how it’s done
- who read with their children
- who support their husbands’ rights to parent
- who know how to ask for help
- who tell their children they love them and are proud of them
- who vote and advocate for women’s rights
- who honor our ancestor’s sacrifices
