This is my first in a series of posts about the Verizon Palm Pre Plus. I’ll be using the phone this month and sharing some of my experiences as well as hosting some very cool giveaways.
When I was first approached by The Motherhood to try out the Palm Pre Plus for a few weeks, I wasn’t at all familiar with the phone. I have used Palm products in the past, but haven’t tried out their phones. As a result, I was excited, but not quite sure what to expect. It would be an understatement to say that I’m pleasantly surprised by the smartphone.
The Palm Pre Plus is a solid little gadget with gently curved sides and back. It has a glossy black front and a matte black back. The front shows fingerprints and smears, but looks gorgeous when polished. The back doesn’t capture finger prints at all and can be used for induction charging. With a touch screen and a slide-out keyboard, this phone looks snazzy. People frequently ask me about it when I’m using it in public.
The Palm Pre Plus’ screen is clear and bright. It takes a moment to render images on screen, but once they’re up, they look stunning. Even when zoomed in, web pages, pictures and videos look great. I always scoffed at the idea of watching video on my phone, but the Palm Pre Plus might make me a believer. The sound is pretty good, too. I found music to be a bit tinny, but I don’t expect a perfect listening experience on my phone. I can clearly hear my phone conversations and that’s what’s most important.
I’ll be posting more about my experiences with the Verizon Palm Pre Plus, as well as the giveaways, so I hope you’ll stay tuned. And, if you have any questions, please feel free to ask.
Disclosure: I received a Palm Pre Plus, Verizon phone service and compensation in exchange for this post. This is a product experience report, as opposed to a review, but the opinions and experiences are mine.
