I am an official tax procrastinator. There was a time when I had one W-2 and filled out a 1040EZ form. And then I got married. And bought a house. And started a business. And had a child. And started another business. And had another child. I carry stock, receive multiple 1099s and have a shoebox full of receipts (not really – I’m not quite organized enough for an actual shoebox). My husband has taken on most of the tax filing burden, since I’m hardly a financial whiz to start out with. Even so, I drag my feet until such a late date that we need to file an extension. And then I drag my feet until we absolutely HAVE to file our taxes. I hate it.

So, when I was asked if I wanted to participate in the H&R Block Best of Both offer, I had mixed feelings. I talked it over with my husband and we agreed that it was a good way to make sure we’re doing what we should be doing and filling out our forms correctly. Best of Both is a program for people who like to file their taxes online, but still want the benefit of a tax pro to answer questions.
