Crudite Creations Provides Beautiful and Healthy Veggie Centerpieces

We had LadyBug’s friend birthday party on Father’s Day weekend. We were getting her a bouncy house for the whole weekend, so I thought it would be a good time to have family and friends over, too. They could make the most of the bouncy house and see our new house. We invited Big Guy’s family over after her friend party on Saturday and my family over on Father’s Day itself. Planning and prepping for three separate parties while trying to get the house looking somewhat orderly (i.e. relocating a million boxes) was no small feat and I was feeling pretty overwhelmed. Luckily I stumbled across the offer to review a “bouquet” from Crudite Creations. Based in Newton, MA, they create and hand-deliver beautiful arrangements made from fresh vegetables. They also offer a range of delicious dips.

I had seen pictures, but when my arrangement arrived I was impressed. Pictures can’t really do it justice, but I’ll do my best. The arrangement included colored cauliflower (I didn’t even know there was such a thing!), small sweet peppers, carrots, cucumbers, zucchini, olives, cherry tomatoes, radishes, scallions, and probably another veggie or two I couldn’t identify. The “Calla lilies” on top are made from leeks and baby corn. Very creative!

Each veggie is attached with a toothpick, making them easy to pop off for snacking. Our arrangement came with two dips: an onion and a hummus. They were both delicious and ended up on chips as well as the veggies.

I think the radish flowers are my favorite after the leek calla lilies. The vegetables were all fresh and looked wonderful.

The wonderful thing about arrangements from Crudite Creations is that they do double-duty as an appetizer and a centerpiece. That is if you can convince people to mar the beautiful display by eating it! I didn’t have to worry about chopping vegetables and the fun shapes make the veggies more appealing for kids.

Crudite Creations was founded in 2012 by Lauren Brooks. They use locally-sourced vegetables when possible, and will work with you to create an arrangement that suits your occasion. The arrangements come in a lovely reusable container (ours is a pretty white-frosted glass), or they can use a container you provide. They deliver to the greater Boston area. If you’re within driving distance and aren’t sure about delivery, definitely give them a call!

Crudite Creations come in a range of sizes with a small arrangement starting at $45 and an extra large arrangement starting at $125. Drips also come in several sizes from 8-32oz ($4-10).

Disclosure: We received an arrangement for review purposes, as well as two dips. There was  no additional compensation and the opinions contained in this post are my own.
