Catch All of the Fall TV Premieres with TiVo Roamio

I have failed you. I have been blissfully enjoying my TiVo Roamio and not at all letting you in on the game. Maybe I’ve been enjoying it a little too much. In any case, I received a TiVo Roamio as a TiVo Brand Ambassador. By now, you probably know how cool it is… either 4 or 6 tuners, and lots of recording space. You can watch your many of your shows on the road. I’ll share more about that on another day, but now that the Fall TV season is about to start, I have to share one of my absolute favorite TiVo features: Collections. In this case, the Fall Television Collection.

It’s possible that you aren’t familiar with Collections. In older TiVo boxes, they were called Guru Guides. You can find Collections by choosing “Find TV, Movies, & Videos” from TiVo Central and then selecting “Browse TV & Movies.” The first option should be “Collections.” You’ll have plenty of options, but in this case you’ll want to choose “Fall Television.” You can see the new shows for the fall or all of the returning shows. I’ve included a screen shot of what it looks like on the iPad app. On the TV, you’ll also have the option to record the entire collection. It’s a quick and easy way to grab all of the new shows (you’ll only see shows that air in the next two weeks). It will set up a Season’s Pass for the shows as a group, so you’ll eventually want to switch to individual passes unless you watch to keep watching everything that comes on.

I suppose it’s possible that, unlike me, you don’t prefer to watch the premiere of every single show that comes along. If that’s the case, keep an eye out in TiVo Central for highlights of different fall premieres. Each one has video footage, as well as the option to set up a Season’s Pass for just that show.

With all of the time you’ll save searching and recording, you’ll have time to watch a bit more TV!
