Geeking Out at the New England International Auto Show in Boston [Giveaway]

When I bought my first car, my highest priority was that I didn’t want to haggle a lot over the price. Now that we’re a suburban family of four, my priorities are much different. When I got the invite to serve as a Chevrolet and SheBuysCars.com ambassador at the upcoming New England International Auto Show, I was thrilled. Innovation in the automotive world means that our travels will be safer, more comfortable, and more fun. I’m all about that! And? The more gadgets, the better.

First, I’d like to extend the invitation for one of my readers and a guest to enjoy the show. I’ve got a pair of tickets to give away for your choice of day. The Boston Auto Show runs from January 15-19 (show hours) at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center. In addition to all of the newest and hottest automobile technologies, the show features ride and drives, games, activities, and contests. Even if you don’t consider yourself to be a “car” person, it’s hard not to be swept away by all of the amazing things cars do today, as well as the promise of greener technologies.

2015 Chevrolet Trax

My husband recently bought a new car and we realized that while we didn’t need a second mini-van, we did still need a car with good storage, gas mileage, and comfort. It’s too bad that the Chevrolet Trax wasn’t on the market yet, because it certainly would have been a contender. This 5-seated subcompact SUV gets a combined 29 MPG, has four-wheel drive, Bluetooth capabilities, 4G LTE WiFi (additional fee), and rear/passenger seats that fold flat. Yes, you read that right. 4GLTE WiFi IN YOUR CAR. As a bonus, it would be great for me to borrow when I have to drive into the city for work events. It would be much nicer to park than my big minivan! The Chevy Trax is just one of the many cars being highlighted at the Boston Auto Show next week.

I’ll be covering the show on Thursday, January 15th, so you can follow me on Instagram or Twitter to see what’s hot.

Want to win a pair of tickets to the show? Drop me a note below and tell me what your first car was! And then make sure to enter through the Rafflecopter Widget. As always, contact me if you have any issues with entry.

  1. My first car was a 1972 MGB GT. Since then I’ve had so many cars it’s hard to keep track, but I still have my second car, a 1973 Buick LeSabre. Auto shows are fun!

  2. My first car was a Subaru GL sedan. Metallic Brown. Front wheel drive, AWD was a premium option back then.

I loved that car. It drove like a tank in the snow, except when I’d pull the e-brake going around corners. Good times.

I don’t know why it took me 20 years to buy another Subaru.
