Happy Valentine’s Day to Me and You from the Disney Store

This contest is now closed. Please check back for future giveaways.

The UPS man knocked on my door today and left two packages. I love packages. The only thing I don’t love is that it typically means another addition to my pile of work which is horribly backlogged (Dear Kenmore, I have NOT forgotten about you!). But today was special. The first package was one I was expecting… a stash of lovely books I won in  a Valentine’s Day giveaway on Married to My Sugar Daddy (a fabulous site, by the way). Nothing expected of me other than to read and enjoy.

The second package was one I wasn’t expecting, but when I saw a Disney Store return address I mentally ran through my shopping list to figure out what I had ordered. Nothing came to mind, so I knew it was going to be something fun. They didn’t disappoint. Inside was a reusable Valentine’s Day shopping tote with Mickey and Minnie on it. And inside of that was a set of adorable Mickey & Minnie love mugs, and classic Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse plush dolls. Each doll is holding a felt heart with a Valentine inside that you can fill out for your sweetie. It so happens that I will be at Toy Fair in NY for Valentine’s Day this year (again – Why is Toy Fair always on Valentine’s Day anyway?) and have been looking for a special way to say, “I love you” to my kids while I’m away. Voila!

Yes, I do have a cool job. But before you get too jealous, I have great news for you… the Disney Store has offered to give the same fun box-o-goodies to one of my lucky Quirky Fusion readers. You won’t have it in time for Valentine’s Day, but the recipient isn’t going to care. And who says you can’t say I love you with treats on another day entirely, right? Of course, these great gifts are actually available NOW at the Disney Store, so you can also zip over there and pick them up. The plush dolls are $14.50 each and suitable for kids and adult fans. The 2-piece mug set is $14.50, too. Pull these out of the package and stuff them with your sweetheart’s favorite candy or chocolate before giving them as a gift.

  1. My son adores Mickey, so I would give him the plush. The mugs would be used daily by me and hubby. My old Minnie mug is looking pretty rough.

  2. How stinkin’ cute. If I won I of course would give the girls the plush, but the mug would be for me. Everyone needs a little Mickey in their lives.

  3. I found out a year ago that my husband of 7 years has had 3 one night stands since we have been together, and affair with my matron of honor (also my best friend at the time) 3 months after my wedding as well as an affair with my step sister (also my best friend) via text messaging during my 2nd pregnancy and then physically when I went back to work after my 6 weeks were up. I am on anti-depressants and have been through numerous therapists. We have a 4 year old and now a 1 1/2 year old who absolutely adores Mickey and Minnie. We took them on a family vacation to Disney World in December for Christmas and I stated to my husband whom I am trying to figure out a way to forgive for my kids as well as myself that if we do make it through I want to feel that everlasting love that Mickey and Minnie feel. Since then he has done everything to make that happen with exception of not making it to the Disney in time to purchase the mugs before they sold out. He works shift work which was why he was able to do what he did but now his life’s goal is to prove to me that I and only I am who he wants to spend the erst of his life with and grow old with and watch our 2 babies grow up and a family of their own. I am not trying to win this by pitty, I just want you to understand why this package would mean so much to me and my family.

  4. My daughter and son. We love Disney and the kids would be so excited to drink hot chocolate out of the cute mugs.
