If you’re anything like me, you’ve never heard of Johnny Reid. After all, the Scottish-born singer/songwriter’s first US album is due to be released in May. But I suspect we’ll be hearing a lot more from him in the near future. Reid, who lives in Canada, is a country singer with a soulful vibe. Johnny Reid is heading into the US market with a different flavor. I’m on board, but time will tell how he does in sea of auto-tuned muck that’s on the charts now.
