Jolly Holiday

A belated Merry Christmas to all who celebrate and an early Happy New Year! We’ve been busy, busy, busy. We had a family vacation to Disney World (the kids’ first trip) from the 10th-17th, we had a couple of bouts with the stomach bug that has been going around, and then it was Christmas tree, decorations, baking, wrapping, opening, celebrating! So, yes, it’s been pretty quiet around here. This week, we’re laying low and breaking out all of the new toys before celebrating our second (third?) Christmas with Big Guy’s family on Friday. Phew. We’ve also got some old friends (of mine) coming over on Thursday night and we’ll be ringing in the New Year with some other good friends with fondue and video games.

I’m really looking forward to 2011. I’m happy where things are right now, and I feel like I’m on the cusp of some new big things work-wise. That’s exciting. And… I’m turning 40 next year. I could be dreading it, but instead I’ve decided to look at it as the start of the rest of my life. Plenty of possibilities and I’ve been working on a new list of things I want to do. I’m happy to say that I’ve crossed quite a few things off my old list (either I’ve accomplished them or I’ve changed my mind!) and had a pretty interesting 39 years so far. It will be hard to top, but I’m definitely going to try.

Quirky Fusion is turning two this January. Might be time to get my beloved newest blog a new outfit…

  1. Happy New Year to my daughter who keeps me on my toes, is the best techie resource I could possibly have, and is a model for me to set goals for myself. Hope your 2011 is great!
