Did you know that it’s the 50th anniversary of the Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer television special? There will be a lot of celebrating this year for the famous reindeer and his buddies (I’m particularly excited about the set of U.S. Postal Service stamps), but what better way than to catch the whole gang live at Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: The Musical? The show will be hitting stops all over North America this holiday season, but of course I have my eye on a week-long engagement at the Citi Shubert Theatre in Boston from December 9-14, 2014.
The live show mirrors its television counterpart, so families can relive the story of misfits Rudolph, Hermey, the Abominable Snow Monster, and Yukon Cornelius with familiar songs and plot. They even designed the costumes, props, and puppets to reflect the stop-motion designs in the original.

The Island of Misfit Toys is one of my favorite things about the TV show, so I’m looking forward to seeing the live interpretation. Want to see it, too? Love everthing about the show. Since I need to pick one, it would be Hermey!! He knows he doesn’t fit in, so he leaves in search for a better, happier life

A dolly named Sue is my favorite character.
