I was asked awhile back to review Zippity Doo’s hair care products for children. Designed to prevent lice, Zippity Doo’s makes shampoo, conditioner, detangler, styling gel and a shield spray for clothes/bedding. It took me some time to test out the products. First of all, Big Guy does bath time, so I had to remind him a few times to try it. The other issue, though, is that Bug has allergies and sensitive skin. I wanted to be able to try Zippity Doo’s at a time where we could deal with any skin reactions if they happened.
I’m pleased to say that the kids have been using the Zippity Doo’s shampoo and conditioner for a couple of weeks without any problems. In fact, they leave bath time smelling extra yummy. The products use natural ingredients to help repel lice. Rosemary, sage oil, anise, lemon oil and tea tree oil are just some of the ingredients in the Zippity Doo’s product line. Mmm.
I don’t know how well the products work on lice (we’ve been fortunate enough so far to avoid that particular joy), but if they work half as good as they smell, they’re more than worth it. Each bottle (roughly 8.5 oz) is $9.99 and is available at Target and CVS.
Disclosure: I received several bottles of Zippity Doo’s products for review purposes from MomSelect. There was no promise of a positive review and the opinions in this post are my own.
