Secret Life of Pets Comes to DVD – Giveaway!

secret-life-of-petsWe have a crazy cat. She’s getting older now and sleeps more often than not, but every once and awhile, she zips through the house, leaping on furniture and terrorizing unsuspecting nappers. When she was younger, she used to steal things. We couldn’t leave anything out on the counters or it would disappear. One time, she stole a 5 lb bag of candy (intended for Halloween) from the top of the refrigerator. I would love to take a peek into her mind to know what’s going on in there. That’s probably why The Secret Life of Pets holds so much allure for me and my kids and why we jumped on the chance to nab a complimentary copy to check out. Who isn’t just a bit curious about what goes on with their pets when no one is looking?

THE SECRET LIFE OF PETS

Rating: PG

Synopsis: In their fifth fully animated feature-film collaboration, Illumination Entertainment and Universal Pictures present The Secret Life of Pets, a comedy about the lives our pets lead when we leave for work or school. Max, voiced by Louis C.K., is a loyal terrier living a perfectly happy existence until his owner, Katie (Ellie Kemper) brings home Duke (Eric Stonestreet) a big, boisterous mutt she finds at the shelter. When Max and his unruly new “roommate” slip away from their dog-walker, they find themselves lost in the urban jungle of New York City. In an attempt to stay ahead of animal control and a rebel band of abandoned pets led by an unhinged bunny named Snowball (Kevin Hart), they put aside their differences to survive the epic journey back home.

We actually missed The Secret Life of Pets when it was out in the theaters. We had been watching the previews for nearly a year before it came out and then life got crazy and we missed our opportunity. Thankfully, the DVD comes out on December 6 and we’ll get a second chance! Not only that, but we have TEN Blu-Rays to share with you, in case you need a second chance. Better yet, in case you loved, loved, loved it and can’t wait to see it again. It would also make a fun Christmas or Hanukkah gift…

Want to win? Drop a comment below and tell me about your favorite pet of all time and then make sure to complete the Rafflecopter Widget with your contact info. We could all use some funny pet stories right? The giveaway runs until December 11th at midnight and you’ll have about 24 hours to reply with your mailing info. Hopefully that will get your prizes to you in time for whichever holiday(s) you’re celebrating! Questions? Please ask!

  1. My pets are all crazy an special in their own ways. My best bud is Steve the dog ?. He is a Shiba Inu an full of life an fun an love. I would be lost without my pets an their craziness.
Ty for the give away. Have a great day.

  2. My favorite pet was a dog I had named Roland. He was a German Shepherd and Akita mix that loved to chase ghost rabbits (there were none, but he still ran after them) and when we would go fishing, he would swim out and catch the fish that was on the line and bring it in the rest of the way.

  3. My favorite pet was my Dalmatian, Freddie. He would always try to climb on your lap, or stand up on you to get face to face. :o)

Thanks for the giveaway! This is on our gift list for this year.

  4. Oakley is our “baby” he will be 8 this January. He is a Goldendoodle and very large one at that. His parents were both 75 lbs so we figured he would grow to be about that same size. Well, he is a whopping 90 LBS and not at all over weight (actually a little underweight), he can rest his chin and head on the table without jumping up and loves to scratch his chin on the window sills. So being a “big” dog most would think a bit dangerous, ferocious even, if you hear him bark you might back away. BUT if you have a hulahoop he will not come anywhere near you. If you put it on the ground he will not pass by it unless he is a good 10 ft away from it. When he was a puppy and we were training him we tried to get him to get into the circle for a “treat”… Nope he wouldn’t even do it for a hot dog! Oh but he does think he is a lap dog when you are sitting on the couch….

  5. We went to the the movies for this one and would love to see it again, you always miss stuff the first time around :) Our pets are a 10 week old puppy Fenway and our 2 yr old cat Chloe.

  6. My favorite pet would be an English Bulldog. They’re so darn cute!
We have to wait until the kids get a little older so they can help out with a pet.

  7. My favorite pet is my sister’s dog Hairy Pawter. Thanks for the giveaway. My family would really like to see this movie.

  8. my dog’s name is lady. she is fantastic. i imagine she just waits for me when i am not home but it would be funny if she was throwing a party.

  9. Once the neighbor’s cat got in our house and started bouncing around the room like a jumping bean for a couple of minutes before it finally went back outside

  10. I had a cat named Pooh years ago that was so mean I had to put up a Beware of Cat sign on the door. People thought I was joking until they met him! He lived to be 21 years old!
