Holiday Show and Concert Fail
Last week was a bit crazy. In a two-day span of time, the kids had their holiday circus show (yes, they take circus class – silks, static trapeze, tightrope, juggling, clowning, acrobatics, etc.), LadyBug had a doctor appointment, and then she had her winter concert at school. We took the kids out to dinner with

Me: “How now, brown cow? What’s my schedule this week?”
Droid Turbo (spoken): “Here are the events you requested. First up, you have a calendar event tomorrow at 4:10pm. The title is ‘Kids’ Dentist Appointments’.” [The phone’s screen displays my entire calendar for the week.]
When Android Isn’t Just Android
So you know that I’m a member of the Verizon Wireless #VZWBuzz team and, as such, I regular get to try out new offerings from the Verizon Wireless store, including new phones. I was using a Motorola Droid Mini for quite some time and was starting to take my favorite features for granted when the HTC One Remix arrived. They are both Android phones so you might think the transition between them would be an easy one. You would be wrong.
Play Nice(r) With Your Phone, Your Xbox, and Xbox SmartGlass
This month I’m testing out the Nokia Lumia 928 phone from Verizon Wireless. It’s a Windows phone, which is a change of pace for me, so I’ve been on the hunt for fun apps to share with all of you. There are lots of great apps out there, but I stumbled across something I wasn’t familiar with: Xbox SmartGlass. Now, SmartGlass isn’t exactly new (it came out last year), but it’s new to me. I bet it’s new to a lot of you, as well. Xbox SmartGlass allows you to pair mobile devices with your Xbox to allow enhanced control and content.
Introducing… the HTC Droid DNA, My Replacement Computer
I have recently been invited into the Verizon Insider program which gives me a chance to check out new mobile technology so I can share my thoughts, tips, and tricks with you. The first arrival is the Droid DNA from HTC. I have been wishing for a Droid DNA since I first saw it at CES. I have a bad habit of falling for things at CES! In any case, my wishes came true and I’ve been using it for a couple of weeks now. I was going to tell you all about the amazing camera, but I’m in the middle of a tech crisis at home: my laptop is dying. Not only that, but the wacky weather has been causing people to lose power. The good news is that it inspired me to mention just a few of the ways the Droid DNA can help you out if you find yourself in a similar crisis or without electricity.
