Disney Infinity 3.0 Calls Star Wars Out to Play
It is what we were hoping for… the next iteration of Disney Infinity will bring the Star Wars universe into the mix. Currently due out for the holiday season (2015), you’ll find most of your new and old faves… Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, Princess Leia, Han Solo, Ahsoka Tano, Anakin Skywalker, Darth Maul, Chewbacca, Obi
Lenovo Y50 Gaming Laptop Review
I have been using the Lenovo Y50 gaming laptop for the past few weeks [I am a Lenovo INsider and received the Y50 for review purposes]. While I don’t necessarily play the most hardcore of games, I do enjoy a lot of titles that tax your average laptop. A good gaming laptop requires a tradeoff between portability and power. Even with that, they can be very expensive. I am pleasantly surprised by the Lenovo Y50. My 15.6” model weighs just over 5lbs and packs quite a punch for both gaming and all of the video and image editing I do for work.
Mega LeapFrog Giveaway
So. I’ve talked about the LeapFrog LeapBand, which encourages kids to be active. And I’ve talked about LeapFrog LeapTV, which also pairs activity with education via a console gaming system. I have not yet shared with you the LeapFrog LeapPad 3, but it is the latest iteration of LeapFrog’s handheld gaming units. It’s a bit smaller and lighter than the LeapPad Ultra, making it more friendly for smaller gamers to hold. It’s also faster and less expensive, so there’s a lot going for this device as long as you’re willing to sacrifice some screen real estate. But, other than sharing the LeapFrog colors, quality, and educational gaming experience, what do these three items have in common?
Win a LeapFrog LeapTV Educational Gaming Console [Giveaway]
We recently had the pleasure of reviewing LeapFrog’s new educational gaming console for kids, LeapTV. It’s a hit in our house and would make a really special gift for some other lucky kids. Want to win one? Of course you do! (Please read the review to make sure it’s a good fit for the kids/family you have in mind).
LeapTV Gaming Console for Kids [Review]
Most of us with young kids are familiar with LeapFrog’s handheld educational gaming units. Maybe it’s a LeapPad, maybe a Leapster Explorer. Either way, the LeapFrog LeapTV console system was a bit of a surprise. In face, when they asked if I wanted to review out LeapTV, I don’t know what I expected. I did not bargain for a full-scale console system with sophisticated controllers and a camera that could detect input both with a controller and without. Wow!
Disney Originals and the Disney Infinity: Toy Box Starter Pack (2.0 Edition)
When Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes (2.0 Edition) came out, we were all excited to play as our favorite super hero. My son, who is nine, prefers Rocket Raccoon, while my daughter prefers Spiderman. I like Nova. But we were still anxious to add some traditional Disney magic to our collection. We didn’t have to wait long – today marks the launch of 8 new Disney Infinity 2.0 Edition characters – dubbed “Disney Originals” – and the new Disney Infinity: Toy Box Starter Pack (2.0 Edition) for those who just really prefer Toy Box play over the Play Sets.
Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes (2.0 Edition) (review)
My kids are more than a little obsessed with Disney Infinity. I don’t even know how many hours they have spent playing with it, but I do know that we have every single character (except the super-special Toys R Us editions – even I can’t justify buying two of everything). When they found out that I was reviewing Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes (2.0 Edition) for Common Sense Media (and therefore here as well), they were beyond excited. I was excited, too. We are genuine fans of the game, and have been looking forward to all of the promised enhancements. I will say, having completed the included Play Set and spent some time building and exploring in the Toy Box, Disney Interactive definitely came through on their promises, but maybe dropped the ball in some other areas.
Merida and Maleficent to Join Marvel Heroes in Disney Infinity 2.0
So I slacked off with the announcement of Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes (2.0 Edition). Disney Infinity is the most played video game in our house, largely due to the creativity allowed in the Toy Box Mode. They love working together to create new worlds and experiences.
Lenovo Horizon 2 Table PC Brings Families Together to Play and Share
Years ago, I spent a few hours in a hotel lobby with friends playing on an interactive table top. It could play music and games, and we enjoyed all being able to use it together. Lenovo’s Horizon 2 Table PC brings that experience into your home with some really cool features that you can enjoy on your own, or as a family. As part of the Lenovo Moms program, I had a chance to tour their latest offerings while at the Consumer Electronics Show this year and got a little more information about their newest Table PC.
