Join Me for a #STEMChat About Tweens and Engineering

Those who know me know that I’m a bit geeky. But most don’t know that I fell in love with engineering as a tween. I was already into computers, but when a summer camp through AT&T introduced me to engineering and circuits, I was smitten. My kids may or may not feel the same passion, but I want to do all that I can to let them know what engineering is all about.

Since this is a passion of mine, and since I’ve seen some of the amazing things kids can do with the proper tools and support, I am thrilled to be joining Kim Moldofsky (founder of #STEMchat), Beth Blecherman, and Amy Kraft for #STEMchat this week. The focus is on engaging tweens in engineering pursuits. Don’t let this sound intimidating. Engineering comes naturally for most kids, as they have an innate curiosity and a lack of fear. As a parent, there are a lot of ways you can facilitate their learning without being an expert yourself and there are plenty of resources available to help you out.
