Both of my kids came via at-risk pregnancies and challenging births. We are fortunate and thankful that they were both born (reasonably) healthy. Not all families are as lucky. The March of Dimes works to prevent birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality. They also support and advance maternal and health research. This month, Macy’s is supporting the March of Dimes through a Shop for a Cause fundraiser. You can purchase a $5 Macy’s savings pass that gives you 25% off on regular, sale, and clearance items. It’s a great deal! (Note: the pass provides a 10% discount on electronics, watches, furniture, mattresses and rugs/floor coverings). The entire $5 cost of the pass goes to the March of Dimes.
The passes are available in store and online for shopping on August 25. Let’s be honest, I know some of you are already starting your Christmas shopping. This is a great way to save some money and support a wonderful cause. If you just spend $20 at Macy’s with your pass, you’ll come out even. And once you see the sales already in place at Macy’s, I can’t imagine how you’d stop at $20!
I put together a little wish list for a March of Dimes Shop for a Cause shopping trip at Macy’s online:
