If you have a tablet that you share with kids, chances are you’ve experienced the challenge of balancing the needs of different family members. How do you keep the tablet open enough for your needs, while keeping your kids from accessing content that’s inappropriate? Techno Source may have the answer with their newly announced Kurio tablets. These 7-inch, 8-inch, and 10-inch tablets are slated to bring all of the features you expect, while adding customizable profiles for each family member.
The 7-inch tablet will boast Android 2.3.4, 512 MB RAM, 4GB storage with a micro SD slot (up to an additional 32GB), HDMI out, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Flash 11, USB port, a webcam, and a 5-point multitouch screen. The tablet will come with a removable rubber case to help protect it from drops. Kurio 7 can host up to 8 profiles and each one can be customized for access to specific apps, Internet black lists and white lists, and even playing time. Parents can add their favorite apps, but give kids access to only those that are age-appropriate
Kurio 7 will retail for $199.
