Verizon FiOS Brings Speed and Reliability
We waited what felt like forever for Verizon FiOS to come to our neighborhood. Big Guy had his eye on it and jumped on the chance to sign on as soon as we could. I am currently taking part in a Verizon FiOS campaign, which I’m pretty excited about. It’s a good excuse to learn more about what Verizon FiOS offers.
The funny thing is that Big Guy had the same reaction I did when I was asked to write my first post. “What are you going to write about?” he asked. “It’s fast and it works. What else do people need to know?”
So, there is some other stuff that people need to know, of course, but I can’t imagine a more ringing endorsement of cable service than that. It’s so reliable that we don’t think about it.
Now, we don’t use a Verizon FiOS DVR because we’re pretty loyal to another DVR brand. That does impact some of the features we have access to. But what we can do is access Verizon FiOS content via PC. There are full episodes of shows from channels like TNT, ESPN and Nick. Because we also have an HBO subscription, we can access HBO GO content (movies and shows), as well. I’ve been catching up on missed episodes of Rizzole & Isle and True Blood. These are two shows I didn’t know about until they were already under way.
My next step is to check out Flex View, which allows you to download On Demand shows for viewing on the go and on mobile devices. I’m just afraid that the kids will take over!
Is Verizon FiOS in your area? Find out.
Disclosure: I wrote this post while participating in a brand team campaign by Mom Central on behalf of Verizon FiOS.Verizon will send me a gift card to thank me for taking the time to participate.
